Bideford Chiefs picked up their fifth award for last years remarkable season
Last night saw the annual North Devon Journal sports awards.
With the trophy cabinet looking bare for a number of years Bideford had already won the Cornwall and Devon league, the Devon Intermediate Cup and the Whistlers award (an award that is presented to a club by the Devon Referees) The chiefs also came runner up in the Rugby World for ‘team of the year’ a national competition with thousands of entries.
Thursday night attended by this years skipper Andy Loosemore and some of this years players, Jamie Giddy, the Buckland twins! and Simon Bright. Bideford were announced as winners of the Senior Team Of the Year and presented with a crystal trophy.
Good Luck to all Bideford teams tomorrow especially the chiefs who play Tiverton in the league.
