Bideford face Okehampton in the final of the cup this weekend and the club looks forward to another epic battle.
The Chiefs have lost twice to Okehampton in the league this season and are desperate to retain the cup that they held last season.
Okehampton have a proud history in the cup competitions and will be fighting to regain the title after another season in the mid table.
The chiefs can be massively proud of the season with a top three finish in their first season in the Western Counties League. The lads were looking to have a mid table finish but have found themselves in a battle at the top of the league all season. Okehampton have had mixed fortunes all year and may be slightly disappointed with finishing 5th in the league below Bideford and St Austell who were both in the Cornwall and Devon league last year.
Selection will be difficult with the likes of Andy Mackenzie-Shapland, James O’Sullivan, Lee Weston and Dave Slee all shaking off injuries and declaring themselves fit for the game.
The match will have two curtain raisers for those who are going to be there earlier the U14’s will be playing at 11am and the second team will be entertaining Ilfracombe at 12pm.
The match will be sponsored by the ‘Club men’ and their guests and Bideford looks forward to all the local and visiting support.
