Chiefs Success Recognised With Devon Squad Call Ups

Bidefords success on the pitch has been noticed and recognised by Devon with call ups for four of the current chiefs players

For many years Bideford have struggled to get into the Devon squad but with the new coaching team Bideford have come into focus.

Having played and narrowly lost to big teams in the senior leagues like Exmouth Barnstaple and Brixham and having beaten Ivybridge twice in the league last season the coaches of the new Devon set up have seen the potential in the players.

Dean Folland, Alex Priest, Ollie Wickett and Richard Norman have all had game time for Devon this season in games against the Royal Navy and Cornwall.

It has been a great experience for them and has proven that the eyes are on our players and in time we may see more players pulled into the set up with people like Jono Mock, Chris Snell and George Snell who would all be budding candidates for the call.

Jeremy Chugg (ex barnstaple stalwart) who is now part of the Devon setup said “The lads all stepped up and gave a very good account of themselves” and “all displayed a very good attitude”

The club is very proud of the players that have been called up to the team and will look forward to many more in the future.
