The Club is extremely sad to report the passing of Edward George, a long standing member of Bideford Rugby Club. Ed finally lost his long battle with cancer.
Ed was a past captain of our club, and one of the finest scrum halves to grace the pitch for Bideford. He will live long in the memory for his quick thinking, snipping, try scoring runs, and was certainly feared by many opposition teams.
The Club send their sincere condolences to all of Ed’s family and friends at this difficult time.
His funeral is on Saturday 12 December at 2pm at Stoke Church, Nr Hartland.
It is planned to have an outdoor service with a guard of honour by club members. Please attend in traditional club blazer and tie by 1.30pm.
