Bideford Quins v Tiverton Match Report

Bideford Quins travelled away to face Tiverton on Saturday. Still looking for their first win the day didn’t start well for Ben Braddick and his team, losing three players for genuine reasons hours before kick-off. Travelling with fourteen Tiverton matched them for numbers from the start. The link road had not affected the Bideford team with a great start running in four first half tries from Seb Sanders, returning Josh King, ex colt Alex Macmillan and Jamie Giddy, with the skilful boot of Sam Griffin kicking all four. Tiverton came into the second half fielding a full squad however Bideford still stuck with their game plan and continued to score first through hard work rate of Jamie Giddy, followed by another from Josh King, two for Alex Macmillan and finally by the powerhouse of Nick Summers with the ever reliable boot of Sam Griffin getting another four. Man of the match was awarded to Andy Kiwi Baxter for stepping into the scrum half position and in his usual way controlled the game. With a final score of 61-5 manager Braddick was more than happy and appreciated the commitment of his team.
