Bideford girls U13s welcomed Torrington and Exeter Saracen’s this week. Bideford’s 10 players were joined by 4 Torrington players to play a 12 a side game against Exeter Saracens. In an even contest with strong running from both teams there was a number of tries for each side. For Bideford there were tries for Lauren, set up by a strong tackle busting run from Emily. Thea scored following a mazy run skilfully avoiding the opposition. Taking the ball in the middle Connie off loaded out of the tackle to feed a try for Esmae running down the wing. Ashleigh and Kasey were causing a nuisance all over the pitch with some great rucking with solid body positions. Aaliyah made a few lovely passes to bring in her team mates. Dolly made some of her trade mark dancing feet runs. Daisy made her presence known with some fearsome hits. The Bideford girls all worked hard throughout the game and it is good to see them building as a team. A number of Bideford girls were playing in their first game and it was lovely to see the smiles on their faces at the end. Thanks to Torrington and Exeter Saracens for coming and playing the game in such an excellent spirit.
