Bideford RFC Mini & Junior Awards Night 2024

The Bideford Rugby Football Club Mini & Juniors season came to an end in our annual awards night, this year held at Kingsley School, Bideford on Tuesday 21st May 2024.

The event was a fantastic success and impeccably planned and delivered by out going Junior Chair Rob Parish.

As always, the junior section was supported by the main club, on the evening this was in the form of club president Phil Crouch, Club Chair David Leworthy and Safe Guarding Officer Adrian Scarrett.

Rob had organised a special guest, in the form of former Glasgow Warriors, Exeter Chiefs and Scotland international rugby player Moray Low.

A great turnout from the debut squad with 27 players attending

It obviously runs in the family as the Welton brothers both won in their respective U7 & U9 age group player of the season awards

The mini & junior section continues to grow year on year.  For the coming season we are adding addition training pitch resources in order to provide the space needed for our growing number of players.

We head into the 2024/2025 season looking to establish both U6 and U7’s boys and girls, in a shared squad.  These are year 1 and year 2 children looking to play no contact tag rugby.
