Bideford 2nds travelled to Torrington for their last friendly pre-season game on Saturday. Struggling for numbers due to a large number of senior players unavailable it was thankful that some from the vets stood in and helped out. Having to play the Donnacroft uphill in the first half Bideford did well to keep the score at 5-5 at half time following a well worked try by the ever impressive Simon Gasman Mitchell. Going into the second half Bideford didn’t get what they hoped. Picking up a few injuries and with numerous decisions going against them the final score was in Torringtons favour at 17-5. We now can look forward to our first merit table game at home on the 18th.
