There’s plenty of rugby to look forward to this weekend as the Chiefs host Withycombe at the KGF, and if the reverse fixture was anything to go by, we’re in for a cracking contest.
Bideford edged the away game last time out, clinching victory thanks to a decisive try from skipper Nick Bone. Withycombe proved a tough outfit, bolstered by their overseas players, who will now be more settled and even more dangerous. Chiefs can expect a stern test.
After their first session back on grass in some time, the squad receives a timely boost with the return of Reece Pearn, George Terry, Dean Folland and Will Copp. Unfortunately, Ash Crouch misses out this weekend, we wish him a speedy recovery.
Withycombe, like many sides this season, have struggled for consistent fixtures and come into this match off the back of a narrow defeat to Honiton, who are enjoying a strong run of form. They’ll be hungry for a result, so Biddy will need to be ready. The last encounter was a thriller, and there’s every reason to believe this one will be just as entertaining.
Quins Await Green Light
The Quins are hoping to host Barnstaple this weekend, with confirmation of the fixture still pending. Having had limited game time this season, they’re eager to get back on the pitch. With a strong squad available, they’ll be looking to put on a show on the outside pitch if the game goes ahead.
Colts Head to Semi-Final Clash
The Colts travel to Sidmouth this weekend for the semi-final of the Plate competition, taking a near full-strength squad. Having faced each other twice already this season, both sides know what to expect, but this is Bideford’s moment to shine.
Best of luck to the Colts as they look to book their place in the final!
