Bideford U10s ( School Year 5) are a squad of approximately 26 players. This team are in their 2nd year of playing contact rugby and are becoming a confident and competitive squad. They are a very friendly mixed squad of girls and boys. This year, they have been developing new skills in rucking, which is part of the transition from tag rugby to full contact. They continue to develop their ball skills alongside developing their tackling technique. The rules of the game continue to develop every year, which training will reflect. Training is on a Wednesday evening between 6-7pm. Games tend to be most weekends in the season ( October – May) played on a Sunday Morning. The Season usually ends with the Westcountry Rugby Rocks Festival which has been hosted in Bideford for the last few years. This gives the team the opportunity to play touring teams from across the country at a high level of rugby. Coaches are Damion Fearnley, Phil Crouch, Jason Sussex and Frank Faber.
