Three games into the season Bideford are propping up the Western Counties West table after sliding to a 32-5 defeat against Credton.
Bideford have yet to pick up a point in any of the games they have played this season – and have only scored five points.
Bideford supporters must have been hoping relegation at the end of last season would have brought a change in the losing habit. It hasn’t.
Bideford have now lost seven in row at 1st XV level and last won a game on March 17 when they beat Matson, who were relegated along side them.
Simon Morrell, who took over as coach at Bideford during the summer, has had his share of adversity in the past, particularly at Teignmouth.
Morrell knows there are no instant cures for the fix Bideford find themselves in, although a reduction to the club’s injury list will help.
Crediton were not that much better in any area than Bideford, other than scoring tries.
Bideford’s first try of the season was scored by skipper Dean Folland.
Bideford are away to Falmouth this Saturday.
