Under 13s Match Report 13th January 2019
The Under 13 rugby team at Bideford have continued their impressive form of previous years in winning all of their matches to date this season. Having been the team to beat in the region for many years the squad continues to go from strength to strength showing ever increasing skill, technique and control to match their dogged determination and effort.
The squad has continued to develop and has not only attracted some impressive new recruits but also two sponsors. Looking to ensure they look as professional and cohesive as they do on the pitch sponsors Neil Leonard of Leonard and Co chartered accountants and Eddie Staines of Staines Trailers have supported the purchase of training tops and jackets. Neil said “Having watched the effort, commitment and team ethic of the boys over recent years I felt they needed to be equipped appropriately to reflect their ability and undoubted team spirit”.
Having been presented their shirts and jackets prior to playing Okehampton at King George VI field the boys duly delivered an impressive display running out winners 10 -1. Man of the match on the day was Jake Cleave who scored a fine hat trick together with a strong defensive display. In previous games man of the match went to; Jo Pavitt, Riley Cadwallader, Ethan Davis and Adam Sanders
