Brilliant Biddy score seven tries in super victory

Bideford Ladies won for only the second time this season, producing an outstanding display of attacking rugby in their 41-29 defeat of visiting Totnes in South West Division Two West.

Ameilia Dennis was the star of the show for depleted Bideford with four tries and there were singles for Hannah Bright, Chloe Rossiter and Kat Keenan.

Mollie Osment knocked over four conversions in a fine kicking performance.

The season ends this Sunday at Polson Bridge where Launceston Ladies lie in wait.

Win, lose or draw against second-placed Launceston, Bideford coach Jason Gubb is chuffed by the progress made by the team this season.

“With so many experienced players out, it showed pride and commitment to each other to pull off that win and I couldn’t be prouder of the girls,” said Gubb.

“We started with six and now have 25 regulars at training, so the future is bright for Bideford Ladies.”
