Quins Show the Future Looks Bright

Bideford Quins made a mid week trip to Crediton to play a re-arranged merit table fixture. Quins started well with legend Andy Kiwi Baxter scoring within ten minutes, followed five minutes later by a score from fly half Jordan Taylor. A strong Crediton pack started playing their kind of rugby however Quins strong defence was tough to break. Two more tries followed by Brad Newton Clark and Nick Evans, both converted by Reece Pearn to allow quins to go into the second half 24-0 up. Manager Ben Braddick made changes at half time allowing four colts to have their first taste of senior rugby. Sam Picillo, Matt Lewis, Kai Patt and Cameron White did not disappoint with all four having a great game, Sam Picillo scoring a great try and Matt Lewis kicking three conversions. Other try scorers in the second half were George Terry x2, Billy Teape, Pete Bowes and another for Evans giving a pleasing final score of 62-22.
